Meet Chef Slavo 


Born and raised in Poland, Chef Slavo Grunwald realized his passion for cooking at a very early age. He completed his culinary education at the Gastronomy Collegiate, Food Technology of Nourishment, Culinary Arts Lodz Poland and embarked on his journey towards achieving professional culinary expertise. In search for new culinary techniques and unique ingredients, Chef Slavo Grunwald traveled and worked in several cities throughout Europe.


To find his call, Chef Slavo Grunwald moved to Canada at the peak of his career and is now working as a popular chef at a prestigious hotel in Okanagan. He also manages his family-owned bed & breakfast in Okanagan, Kelowna BC called the Chef House and runs a catering business.


Channeling his love for preparing delicious meals, such as his world-famous Swimming Mother Duck (ramen), Chef Slavo Grunwald offers hearty meals made with locally sourced and fresh ingredients. His catering business currently covers weddings, corporate parties, birthdays, and other special events and features an extensive range of delicacies – from healthy summer salads to skillet food and many others.
